John Rahm Leaving PGA tour for $500M
The Masters winner is leaving the PGA for competitor LIV.
John Rahm is signing a contract for about $500M to go play in the newly formed Saudi backed LIV Golf League. Rahm is being used as a bargaining chip ahead of negotiations with the PGA that are ongoing for the merger of the league. This comes after the craziness that has been happening with some PGA players saying these new LIV players are buying out and taking blood money fro the Saudis.
The Saudis feared from being cut by US investors in the recent merger announcement and is now using Rahm to show their power and endless wallet.
